What is Sports Injury Rehabilitation?

Sports Injury Rehabilitation helps athletes and active individuals effectively treat pain and return to proper function. In addition to any manual therapy, specific exercises will be designed to build strength and endurance of injured or weak tissues. As the body is strengthened and tissues heal, exercises can be progressed to enhance function and performance.

What Can it be Used to Treat?

Following an injury, proper retraining and rehabilitation is necessary to ensure proper healing of injured tissues and to prevent reinjury. Sports Injury Rehabilitation can be used to treat a range of conditions including acute sports injuries, strains, sprains, tendonopathies, joint dysfunction and pre/post surgical recovery.

What Can I Expect?

Specific exercises will be prescribed and demonstrated to activate and strengthen the area of injury as part of any active-care plan. These exercises may be performed under the supervision of your doctor or as take home active care.
